Winner of the German Sustainability Award 2021, it’s impossible not to be impressed by this discovery: Urban Taraxagum, the first series-produced bicycle tires made of rubber obtained from dandelions. What’s more, these are grown, extracted and processed in Germany, which avoids long transport routes, reduces CO2 emissions and conserves resources in Southeast Asia, South and Central America. Not to mention land clearing.
