Grading

Gradingmeans the classification of coffee beans into different quality grades. The Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) divides coffee into 5 grades:

1. specialty coffee
2. premium coffee
3. merchandise
4. coffee below the standard
5. off-grade coffee
